Hi Marcel! We are living in the 21th century! What I dont understand, is WHY is the lihgtmast placed on the outside! The German firevehicle industri has started to place them at the front inside! IF the vehicle been hit at the rear, they CANT use it!

Anders F, you appear to be very critical of many things upon this website, whilst I agree with some of your points, other critical points you have made are unfounded. I have driven eleptical tanked fire service WrC appliances to many calls and never rolled one yet, this is due to the baffles in the tank that prevent water sloshing around whilst maneuvering, hopefully this will put your mind at ease, regarding the externally mounted light mast, it is far more practical and easier to maintain and repair on a scene should anything go wrong compared to an internally mounted one, also the point of an appliance losing the mast in a collision would be the least of the crews concerns.
