This village of less than 8, 000 inhabitants is served by an all-volunteer fire company with 97 operational firefighters - around one in twenty of the entire adult male population!

They man twelve vehicles including five pumps, two utilities, three squad vans, a command unit and a staff car, out of three fire stations - including one quite delightful and unique converted old windmill.

Many of their current units are pictured on this site, along with a few which have now been retired...
