Where is this vehicle now I hope it is in preservation , If not would love the chance to restore it if it's still around

I'm sure this Diamond T was made at Chasside Motor Co ltd, Enfield Middx. I was a mechanic there at that time. It had a Rolls Royce engine conversion. Chasside then become Dial Mech Holmes Wreckers.

I worked at Chaseside Motor Co Enfield at that time and we built a Diamond T for Glamorgan Fire Service. It had a Rolls Royce engine not the Hercules one. I have a couple of photos of this. Bill Jackson my boss sold Chaseside motors and started Dial Holmes and Holmes Wreckers. Please contacted me for more info, Brian Ruddock.

Colin, Apologies for lengthy delay, usual family things, births, deaths etc. The last word I had was that the Diamond T was being stored at Llandow (old airfield). will try to determine this.

I recall my father Douglas talking about Chaseside. He had a Diamond T recovery truck at his yard in South Mimms during the 50s and 60s. Davis Motors just off Bignells corner. I have a picture with my brother and sister sat on the front wings which had two large drain covers on the add weight to the front.

Back in the early 60’s, I remember going out in this truck from South Mimms breakdown yard with Doug Davis and his son Johnny, who was in a band with me called The Nighthawks. Other members were Paul Kirkman and Peter Banks who later joined the band Yes. What great times !!
