By any standards, this is a really big BA tender. Does it have any additional role besides BA supply and support?

It is also one of very few BA tenders I have ever seen or heard of to be equipped with a full crew cab. Is it permanently crewed, or on a switch-plan with the pumper at station 38?

It carries some Hazmat gear however a truck has just been commissioned also at 38 that is a Hazmat/Decontamination unit; it's even bigger than this.

It is permanently crewed with a crew of 3, hope that helps.
