DAF 46 ( ex. ) FD of the Dutch City Voorst, saw this little DAF a few months ago; HQ of DAF Trucks / DAF Museum Eindhoven / Museumdays 2012 in The Netherlands.
This is a DAF 46 with an aircooled 850 cc engine and their own design continuously variable transmission, which literally ran on rubber bands.
I had the misfortune of being responsible for selling the last of these in the UK, after Volvo Cars bought the factory which built them in Eindhoven, before they were mercifully discontinued.
If anyone had actually filled that tank with water, it would have been a Guinness Book of Records contender for the slowest fire appliance ever made. Nor is there any imaginable way the motor could have been connected to any kind of pump - unless it was another rubber band!
To make it even less credible, it looks as if it has a trailer, too...
