it's now a small camper.

This truck has personality. It wasn't meant for camping, it was meant for fighting. Fighting fires of course. Nice shot Antoon.

Howard . You are right. Most of these were actually used by the military for combat and combat support roles. The small number which were used by the armed forces for firefighting were a rather basic adaptation of the army truck - a bit like the GMC 6X6 leftovers which were used as forest fire trucks in France.

This DAF YA 126 was in Militairy Service fron 1956 till end 90's. The 126 was in 3 versions; Personalcarrier, Radiotruck and Ambulance. This Firetruck was a former Ambulance which could carry 4 Stretchers.
