Most Netherlands fire services operate dive teams and water rescue units, because of the prevalence of canals and open water areas in this country.

Vehicles and cyclists ending up underwater - and boating accidents - are unfortunately quite frequent.

They tend to use similar middle weight tenders, either towing light watercraft or accompanied by separate boat carriers.
