Picture shows the new Special Rescue tender for T&W FRS. The appliance is based at Hebburn on the south side of the Tyne and is jump manned with one of the stations 2 pumps.
That's One Hell of a RESCUE Tender. Wonder if that's in the pipe line for down here in Cleveland when the two ET's come to there end of service life.. at least the Hiab/Crane is on the right end.. not behind the cab like stockton's
The appliance is rear steer, and the reason for most specials now having crew cabs is that they are jump manned with a pump rather than being primary crewed. if this appliance is required then a pump crew will attend the incident in this appliance and the pump will go off the run.
