QF&R Freightliner Roma Fire station Brisbane

Queensland Fire & Rescue Service Freightliner ladder unit with high pressure monitor. I think in the USA they call these "water towers." Taken 6 July at Roma St fire station in Brisbane.

Hi David these are called TAP's in Queensland, Telescopic Aerial Pumpers

In the USA, these would be known generally as a "telesquirt". Also as a quint, since it has a pump, hose, water tank, ladders, and the telescopic master stream.

There are not many places to see a Freightliner and a Scania sharing quarters at the same fire station.

Australian (and New Zealand) fire services do seem to try to adopt the best practices of both the UK and the US, but usually on Swedish or Japanese chassis...
