Compare this with picture of the Pevensey Dennis picture 32229 a very good example of standardisation of kit and stowage (with the exception of the ladder!)

Durham had an all Dennis "D" (+2 F48) fleet at one time, and locker contents were fully standardised, so that in the event of a make-ip, anyone from any station could open any locker and know exactly what he would find.
