Brockway was an American truck builder, founded in 1875 and manufacturing motor trucks from 1909 to 1977. In 1956 it became a division of Mack Trucks.

This 1920 pumper has a characteristic design which is typical of older Portuguese fire trucks, but not found anywhere else as far as I know. It involves providing a row of individual crew seats along each side of the rear body - far safer and more comfortable than either the British Braidwood body style of this time, the Northern European longitudinal seating approach, or the American rear step with "standing room only" design!
