SAF Salamanca Airport Protect-Fire MTEC 670
New watertender for the Spanish Air Force Air Basses fire brigades. Made entirely by Protect-Fire, model MTEC 670, it's a 6x6 vehicle equiped whit a 700 HP Caterpillar Diesel engine, 10.000 lts. water capacity, maximum speed of 125 km/h, and an acceleration capacity from 0 to 80 km/h in 27 seconds. Several units serve too in the Air Force of Portugal. Photo taken in September 2011, during the exhibition of the 100 years of the Spanish Air Force Festival at Matacán-Salamanca SAF Air Bass.
