The swastika is used as a sign for buddhist temples in Korea.
What kind of truck is that? Looks like a Japanese manufacturer? I forgot to look closer when I took the photo in 2008.

That is interesting that it is international symbol, with very different meanings.

Cekon, the chassis can be Korean, looks like a Dong A. But I can be wrong.
Les, the Swastika is used by Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism and later as a rightleg version by the Nazis. But never by American Indians (look at Wikipedia)

Fire995: The small sign on the left door says something with "3500" (see picture 32063 - but you can't read it in that resolution...). The chassis looks a bit like a Nissan Diesel, which were license built by Dong A (Ssangyong) as I researched - so maybe you're right! Do you have more information on Dong A fire engines?

The Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. has several examples of the swastika used by native American Indians. Also of note, is that many old Synagogs in Europe have swastikas that were used as "peace " symbols. Wikipedia has a tendency to get things wrong.
