Hey FIREMAN! Is it your intention to return her to original condition? I ask because the rear- end structure is most un-becoming of the proud Mack fire apparatus we all adore. The Department that made the alterations obviously had a very good reason but between you and me it looks crappy, if you get my drift. Can you fill us in on the alterations, thanks? ps hey regardless, we all love a Mack!!

Pav, We eventually DO plan to restore to as close to original condition as possible. We will modify the rear as best we can, but it's going to be hard to work around an 1100 US gallon tank that sits fairly high. One of our first cosmetic projects will be to remove the steel high side and replace it with hard suction brackets and hopefully find some hard suction hose.

Im currently on the Bound Brook Fire Department in New Jersey, Engine Co. 1. I've never seen a picture in any of our 4 firehouses of that engine. Most likely its a peice from the, American Cyanamid Chemical Company that was in the area. They used the "Bound Brook" name because their site was right on the boarder. A while back they would donate equipment to the Bound Brook Fire Dept. also. But I can say for sure that the engine in the picture is not a unit from Bound Brook.. I will double check our history of truck to be sure.
