This is a 2007 Gimaex Mercedes Atego 18 Metre Riffaud 4 section aerial with a 2500L/Min pump,1500L water and 200 L foam concentrate. Photographed in 2010 in Istanbul, Turkey
This very compact Atego 15 tonner looks like a "mini quint" that could be quite a handy tool in some European - and even British - towns and cities too, where narrow streets and relatively tall older buildings are a common feature.
The obvious compromise is rather limited locker space, but I expect it responds with at least one other unit, which makes this less of a problem.
This compact Riffaud 18 meter ladder is quite popular in France, and also crops up in other countries with ancient, inaccessible city centers, but is usually a bare ladder on an 8 or 9 tonne chassis without a crew cab.
