Isuzu Western Australia SJ 1665 pump

Isuzu medium pumpers X 11 (AR 1969 ) These pumpers were imported complete, other than hose, ex Japan. Fitted with Morita semi self-priming pumps and overdrive synchro-mesh gear box. Two were placed into country permanent stations. They were considered to be a stopgap appliance, now owned by Byford Volunteer Fire Service in Perth Western Australia

Matt, great work tracking down this appliance. It is obvious the Byford Brigade take a lot of care with her preservation. The number plate may interest some, 'SJ' indicates the Shire of Serpentine - Jarrahdale located 45 kilometres south of Perth. Most localities throughout Western Australia can be identified by the letters preceding the numerals.
