Isuzu medium pumpers X 11 (AR 1969 ) These pumpers were imported complete, other than hose, ex Japan. Fitted with Morita semi self-priming pumps and overdrive synchro-mesh gear box. Two were placed into country permanent stations. They were considered to be a stopgap appliance, now owned by Byford Volunteer Fire Service in Perth Western Australia

Matt, is the box on top for 8 x lengths of small diameter suction hose?

No for 4 lengths in fact , the bars are to stop them dropping out in transit

Did these come with the traditional Japanese four wheel hose cart in the rear compartment? The tow hooks would suggest this equipment was perhaps not included in these "export" units...
