There was a very interesting article about this impressive vehicle in the Een-Een-Twee magazine (Dutch Fire Enthusiast society). Nice article from Erik Schwartz with amazing photos. The chassis is a Scania P400 LB 10x4, with a bodywork from Kenbri Fire fighting. There is a 4200 litre foam concentrate tank onboard, and also a tank with 2500 litres of water. The pump is a Rosenbauer SP N100, with capacity of 10000 l/m (10 bar). When the unit is on a hydrant it can even pump 14000 l/m (12 bar). The pump is driven by a separate Deutz V6 engine with 490 BHP. The boom was built by Bronto and is a F32 HDT (32 metre. The vehicle is nearly 12 metres long and the weight is 42000 kilo.
That has to be one of the most impressive appliances I have seen in years. I can only guess that BP Rotterdam is one massive risk for them to have such a vehicle?
