This apparatus, named the “Spirit of Oklahoma” was donated to the FDNY by the residents of Oklahoma city following the attacks of 11th September 2001.
It was in recognition of the assistance that the FDNY gave to the city of Oklahoma after the April 1995 bombing of a federal building. Several FDNY “Special Operations” officers who assisted at the city died on 9-11 at the World Trade Centre.
“Spirit of Oklahoma” is used as a spare Rescue apparatus by FDNY.
