This 1985 MAN 14-440 rapid intervention vehicle was one of two built for NZ airports by Austral. This example spent its operational life with the Christchurch International Airport (the other is still in service at Rotorua Airport having served at several different airports). This example was sold by auction in 2011 & its current location is unknown.

I belive this vehicle was bought by the Christchurch city council and can be seen around Christchurch being operated by the works dept.

Hi, Do you know the other airports that the Rotorua machine served at? p.s. It is still at Rotorua as R4 with Regn WY7932. Do you know why this changed?
