This 1978 CF685 was one of three TLs built on this chassis for the NZ Fire Service by Mills Tui. Featuring a 30m Thibault ladder, this example served at various stations throughout NZ and is shown at a multiple alarm fire in Christchurch. It is now preserved as part of the Ferrymead Museum collection.

The Mack CF was a brilliant fire appliance and at one time was 100% of the FDNY fleet, excluding utilities and support vehicles.

But very few RHD CFs were exported, and it is great that Ferrymead has one of these still in preservation...

Sad that Mack did not continue to build custom fire trucks!
