New Zealand Land Rover - DT815

Registered as a Series 1 although I suspect it might be a Series II, this 1958 example features an Amag pump & was new to Ashburton but also served at Rakaia and was still in service with the Ashburton District Council at the Lauriston Rural Fire Party when this photo was taken. It is now restored by the Rakaia Volunteer Brigade.

Series I 109 pick-up is the base. Note the flat sides and lack of a waist line as in the Series II and onwards.
