This is a 1989 FH222 model & one of nineteen identical appliances built for the NZ Fire Service by Austral. Initially allocated to the Pleasant Point brigade it was discovered to be too large for the station when it arrived! It was relocated to Lake Tekapo while the station was enlarged & returned to Pleasant Point where it remains.
