This 1984 FF173 was built by Mills Tui & served the town of Rakaia. It is currently a relief appliance based at the Timaru station although it is likely to be disposed of shortly.

Was utilised for pump & roll "safety". It has since been removed - I will try find a photo of the appliance which has also been repainted & restriped.

This appliance has now been released from the NZ Fire Service and may possibly have been transferred to a rural fire party in the Ashburton area in the South Island.

It appears quite a practical looking truck, if a rural fire party received this machine they'd have to be fairly happy, ,
