New Zealand Dennis MH8872
One DF133 model Dennis featuring the standard UK cab was introduced into NZ in 1983. Subsequently 20 DF135 model chassis were purchased & fitted with a NZ designed safety cab. 19 were pumps built by Mills Tui with one as a crane fitted rescue tender built by Austral. This 1985 example originally served Christchurch before ending up with the Lyttelton & Woodend volunteer brigades. It was decommissioned & sold to a private collector but I have learned only today that the appliance has been broken for scrap.
