Fire Engines Photos

Andy, you may have seen it, but on youtube is colour film of the TL, search for Cheltenham municipal office fire.

Bristol Bob. Yes Bob I have seen the footage on You-tube, it is exceptional. My dad left the Glos service in 1959 to go to Salisbury fire station as a Sub O, just prior to this fire in 1960! Thanks for the info though!

I think the Dennis TL registration was possibly GXA74. I'm sure somewhere I have a photo of it in the old Station at Cheltenham (as above) as well as it pulling out of the new station. They are not my photos though and I bought them off a well known auction site so I have no idea whose they are. Not sure if the editor will allow me to post them on here given I dont know who to credit them to. They are very old black and white photos.

Hi Paul, John Needs has kindly confirmed that the reg. was GXA74. would it be possible to e.mail the pics to me? Perhaps the Editor could confirm if this is acceptable, I totally understand the copyright issues. I would be very grateful, as I dont have any 'proper pictures' of this appliance.
