Typical older French 19 ton chassis with an 8000 liter tank. A very common unit to be found in many Belgian fire stations, although now much higher capacity tankers are also quite often to be found.

These were not brush units, but were rather intended to support pumpers at structure fires in urban areas with water supply challenges.

Presumably a less expensive solution than enlarging and/or extending water mains - or adding extra hydrants, and by no means unique to Belgium.
