RFW Jimboomba Fire Brigade

Jimboomba Rural Fire Brigade ran this RFW truck for many years (retired now) from memory it had a 4 or 6 cyl car motor that ran the pump, a rather large and capable beast.

The motor on the "Darley"pump was an AT4.236. Perkins diesel motor which gave us 25bar pressure on the case 1 lines and about 4000l per minute from the case 3 , 64ml QRT outlets

Matt, Bernie:

Very unusual truck, not to mention the locale's evocative name too! A nice effort by Mr. R F Whitehead and his collaborators, not exactly elegant - but obviously very capable and not a vehicle to be ignored by errant kangaroos...

The cab reminds me of the late and unlamented Leyland Marathons.

Did RFW build many like this?
