Leicester City Fire Brigade Chris. Allocated to Aikman Avenue (West) in 1970 and ran alongsdie the prototype AEC GM4R/Merryweather Marquis 8 KBC416E. It replaced Dennis F7/Dennis PE GRY 863 to my knowledge.

By a wonderfull coincidence, I have just purchased an in service picture of this from the Showbus rally today. Unfortunately it is copyrighted so I cant post it here. Does this machine survive today?

It was also stationed at central station and then easten station Hastings road leicester alongside CRY 999K which is now with leicester fire society mus, but UBC 999H I dont know if it is still running or scrapped

If anyone knows what happened to UBC 999H I would love to know. Some great memories of it and CRY 999K when they was at Hastings Rd, Eastern station, Leicester.
