What a great privilege to see a picture like this. I cannot imagine the blood, sweat & tears it took to present these 2 old ladies for our pleasure. Thanks to all concerned in their preservation. Thanks Mike for the picture.

Gentlemen, thank you for your comments. I have had DGJ309 for 30 years, Mike Cotton is just setting out on a similar adventure with AVB1. Yes it has been a lot of "blood, sweat & tears" over the years but there has also been a great deal of pleasure and enjoyment giving people the chance to see a fabulous working piece of history. With AVB1 about as well hopefully people will be able to see the iconic prewar Leyland Metz, fortunately several exist in the UK.
It was great to get the two together at Odiham and Redhill. At 4 mpg it is a costly business these days and please dont expect them to attend lots of events, I hope to do the HCVS London - Brighton in 2012 with DGJ309.
