Hey Jacques just curious do Bern FD also run the ambulance and if they do is it the same in the rest of Switzerland? With thanks from Tiger.

Bern FD doesn't run the ambulance services, in Bern the ambulances are under the Police Dept.
I am not sure but I think that for most cities in Switzerland this rule applies.

Having visited a few fire brigades in Switzerland, with the exception of Geneva, none of them run the ambulances.

I think Neuchatel FD also runs ambulances, it may be that only large cities in the Swiss French part runs the medical service
