Antoon, I have this as a 1948 Chevrolet and new to Roermond Fire Brigade with a 26 metres Geesink ladder. It served until 1975.

The 1940s and 50s saw a lot of US chassis being used for fire trucks in the Netherlands, and American Fords were probably the most popular - although not only Chevrolet but GMC, Dodge, DeSoto, International and even Ahrens-Fox were also being acquired...

Rob, the Ahrens-Fox were already ordered in 1927 and 7 served Rotterdam Fire Brigade with one of them destroyed in May 1940 the others served well into the early 70ties

Actually 40+ 1928-1972 build in 1927 and shipped to Rotterdam early 1928

Geesink started manufacturing fire trucks shortly after WWI, introduced their first mechanical turntable ladder in 1935 and continued manufacture until 1968. A few were exported to the US and perhaps other countries, and they were built in various sizes between 20 and 30 meters. After 1968 the firm concentrated on building garbage trucks.
