Ex Hull City AEC Mercury TL 7407 AT

Taken today 15th June 2011 after recovery from a childrens playground near Nottingham where it had languished for a number of years - its in very poor condition and is due to be broken up shortly - I drove and operated this TL when it was briefly stationed at Scunthorpe in Humberside in the 1980's

What a shame. At least AEC Regent/Merryweather KRH 806, Leyland/Metz CKH 407, Leyland TD7/Merryweather and AEC/Merryweather GRH691D are safe in preservation.

But I managed to save the number plate off 7407 AT Andrew - I believe GLW 427 also survives - somewhere in Holland ?

She does. KRH 806 lives down the road from me in Flint along with GLW422 ex Wolverhampton FB and not sure where GRH691D lives?

Andrew - does your reply 'she does' relate to GLW 427 as a question or statement ? - I was through Flint on the train yeaterday returning from Holyhead !

Andrew - sorry, for some reason I did'nt continue with my sentence in my previous comment regarding Flint ! - what is it with TL's and that corner of North Wales ? 2 older Tl's there now and its only a few years ago when there were more than a couple of pre war TL's at Hollis of Queensferry ?
