Any idea of what its UK registration number was before it went over to the Ascension Island?

Its UK registration number was M985LYP. Can anyone tell me what station it was allocated to?

Hi Gary, M985LYP started life at Lee Green as PL, in 2003 moved to Euston as PL.It moved in 2004 ended its days at Training Centre Southwark

Are the two leyland ex gmcfs fire engines still here?

When I last visited in May 2013 both Leylands were abandoned in the compound of the Government transport workshop. The hot climate has faded the paintwork and parts have been removed to keep other vehicles on the island on the road. They have not moved in the past three years I have visited the island and were only fit for scrap.
