Very common city major pump, found all over France in the 1960s and 1970s. Unlike most Berliet fire trucks, it had a completely custom cab which was not shared by their commercial truck line. It could accommodate up to eleven crew, had a 2000 LPM rear mounted pump, and carried two one-man hose carts along with ground ladders as determined to be needed on a local basis. Most - but not all - also incorporated a small tank and a single hose reel.

For many years Berliet was the leading French manufacturer of all kinds of fire trucks. It was subsequently bought by Renault and the brand name disappeared.
