these MAN fire trucks belong to the mumbai fire dept.
They were sent by all the fire station of mumbai to the head office in bycalla for the opening ceremony of the FIRE WEEK which is conducted yearly on the 14th april. See also picture 27723

These tandem axle tankers represent a significant updating of the fleet of obsolete design Tata units in the Mumbai fleet.

Like many third world cities, Mumbai relies in many districts on tankers (as well as pumpers with 4500 liter water tanks) because of a limited availability of hydrants.
