I think this is a Dennis 'D' Type fitted with a Perkins 6 cylinder

Yes, its a 1980 Dennis'D'Series and owned by J Pedelty of Darlington.A somewhat strange looking appliance really because it has the two front headlights, and also the grill of the more common Dennis'R'Series so can be very easily mistaken for a Dennis'R'Series.

The cab roof is a good place to look - the small peak would give this away as a "D" series (althould the twin headlights was usually "F") The "R" series had a more rounded front edge to the cab roof.

Hello, Does anybody have means to contact Mr Pedelty? I'm currently searching for a appliance of this era for photos for my wedding. Im a current serving Cleveland Firefighter.

Kind Regards,
Dave
