i see this is right hand drive, strange rear crew door.... was this used in the uk before going to the island?

As requested; 6000 litres water, 120 litres foam, Akron 800gpm monitor, Godiva UFPX 660 5300 lpm pump, fire fogging system, 2 x 50kg dry powder
with hose reel, 5 kva generator, 18 ton winch,
4 deliveries – 1 foam side line un-restricted – 3 water deliveries, suction, Robotic roof lightmast,
Akron/weldon – multiplex control system and rear digital display sign. Will operate from Port Stanley fire-station.

Thanks Gary. I'm surprised at the 6000l water tank. It never fails to amaze me that many rural appliances in the UK, and from what I've read of the Falkland appliances, have an 1800l or less water tank, and not an accompaning bulk water tender. Cool!

This truck was in service with the City of Derry Airport, until they took delivery of a Protector and this was taken in part ex by FVS. It was previously known as a Mercedes 1936 4x4 Carmichael CrT.

The Merc is tall and the original crew door position behind the drivers meant it was a very steep entry and exit so added a cab extension with lower entry point and gradual step up hence the rear door. Now the crew have more useable and safer space The original double cab extension still tilts
