Chris, It could have been a former Dutch Airforce one. But if the controls are in Dutch could also have been a Belgium one. Any idea who build the body?

The bodywork looks like a late 60s Landuyt construction or a Rosenbauer built in the early 1970s

Well this might be a Belgian truck then, as Landuyt was a Belgian constructer.

This engine was acquired in 1992 by Hochstatt Volunteer FD.

Hi Jacques, did they used it as an operational machine or just as an vintage one?

It was used as an operational engine, Hochstatt is a small village with volunteers, called prompt intervention unit, the area is covered by Mulhouse city in case of emergency. Since the Unimog left, they have now 1pumper, 1multi-function van and 1liaison car.
