Magirus Iveco low profile ladder. Not very pretty but practical, this design was first developed for the city of Munich, and was sold quite extensively abroad as well as in Germany.

Competing low profile ladder chassis were specially built by Renault, Mercedes, MAN and others, but the main competitor which came along in later years was the Mercedes Econic, although newer series (and much better looking) Ivecos are still being sold.
