Ladder 2 Victoria Fire department BC Canada

This is a 1985 E-One Hurricane Tandem 110’ RM 5/85 S/N 4216 in service with the Victoria Fire department BC Canada. This unit was in service in Las Vegas as ladder 4 from 1985 until 2001. It came over to Victoria in 2002, and had a rehad in the VFD workshop. There are plans to replace this ladder, probably ladder 1 at headquarters will be replaced by a new ladder and the old ladder 1 will be going to fire hall 2.

Hello Marcel, I believe that the new ladder will be a Metz Raptor. I saw it last year during a visit at the Metz-Factory in Karlsruhe/Germany. Very nice truck with the same colours like Victoria's other trucks. The ladder components were almost completely installed. It was possible to take a place in the voluminous cab of the Spartan-Chassis and I saw a file behind the window "Victoria BC CAN". I think, the Raptor is now in the end phase of the construction in USA. Regards, Michael Baer
