A Legendary Cleveland Hydraulic Platform
Taken at an open day, Stockton Fire Station 2010.
Hidden far away out of the way was this legendary appliance, DDC1 served at Stockton Fire Station for all its career. I think this was in service 1987 same as its sister HP, Middlesbroughs Former Alpha 6 which was also a Scania 93M (E604 LHN - 035)
Not sure of the whereabouts of this machine whether it is still kept at Stockton or if its at the workshops.

I did hear a while back about one of the HP's going to Ireland, just didn't know which one. Its a shame as both Cleveland HP's are legendary. Pete Gardner did tell me earlier he seen E604 LHN driving through Middlesbrough earlier today (22-01) so perhaps that's running as a reserve and the Volvo Bronto has already decided it doesn't want to work in the cold!

They're not as legendry as the second DDC1 the 1976 Dennis F125 Delta which was based at Stockton till around 1992.

I see what you mean, I suppose its more legendary to me and Pete as they were from our era lol But those F125 Delta's are very nice machines. The appliances I think that are lacking on the website are the "County" machines, the likes of HEF 624V, thats only one I know off top of my head, I think a history of the machines to date would be good to see!

I'd actually heard that the former Alpha 6 E604 LHN is to stay at Middlesbrough

I imagine it would stay at Middlesbrough or even Stockton when it isnt getting used, Middlesbrough would have the most room with it being a 7 bay station and only having 3 operational machines, I think it would probably just stay there until its needed
