Engine 54 Ladder 4 pride of midtown

Date 21-4-2007
Me and a friend was at the fire house picking up some t-shirts when engine 54 had arrived back from a job, the fireman was kind enough to keep the shutter door open so I could take a picture of the two of the fire engines.

This is one of FDNY's busiest fire stations, and a favorite of tourists because of its location.

The companies who are based here are real ambassadors for the department and for the entire city, and in decent weather the doors are very often open...

Many companies have adopted nicknames, and some letter or sign write their vehicles. My favorite is "Tonka Truck"!
