This Dennis is seen forcing its way through heavy early evening seafront traffic at Torquay in about 1988 if you play about with the brightness/contrast of this 35mm scan the registration number can just about be made out it may be B or E 996,998,999 J? TA

Great action shot. Think it will probably be E999 VTA. It was a Dennis RS135/Angloco and was based at Torquay around that time I believe

I can certainly say it wasn't a B reg Dennis as both batches of RS's that went to Devon on a B plate retained the hinged lockers. Roller shutters didn't replace these until the D reg machines.
