London Fire Brigade Dennis SS131 Pump. This photograph was taken back in the early 1990's at one of my favorite old London Fire Brigade stations of Euston(A23)originally opened in 1902(the building on left),and shows Westminsters(A25)Dennis SS131 pump backing into the station on standbye duty.
At the time of this photograph being taken, the London Fire Brigade(LFCDA)had 108 Dennis SS131 PL's and P's in its fleet of operational appliances as well as nearly 200 other pumping appliances that at that time operated from the brigades 114 fire stations.

Now I remember being corrected on calling one of the above (when in preservation) an SS, being told it was a DS - identifiable by the single headlight. Anyone able to confirm either way? been buggin me for years
