Freightliner 16m TAP Brisbane FD
Taken 20 October 2010 at Roma Street Fire Station, Brisbane Queensland Australia. This is a 16 metre TAP (Telescopic Aerial Boom) and one of only 2 in the state of Queensland. One complaint about this unit is that it is bonneted and makes the turning circle less than ideal. This unit has been refurbed and it is envisaged that this unit will spend approximately another 10 years in service. Many thanks to Andrew at Roma Street Station for this info and pics. Most all would have had a half life rebuild at this time of this post , very well used trucks , chain driven steering I think makes them a challenge to drive but usually liked by the stations that have then.
