Although the French fire service as a whole actually operates more brush pumpers than structural pump appliances, the BSPP only includes a handful - all of them understandably stationed in the outer suburbs like this, where there are forested areas.

I have since checked the numbers, and out of a fleet of close to 200 BSPP pumpers, only nine are 4X4 water tenders. Just to make it clear, this particular truck belongs to SDIS 95 - and is a standard CCF specification found almost everywhere in France. There are more than 4, 000 of them, and they include both MAN and Unimog units in addition to Renault.
