This Land Rover is a very unique Forward Control Land Rover 110 built as a pump for obviously a private brigade by Carmichaels of Gregory Mills in Worcester.With very little mileage this Land Rover lays outside in a sad state and would make a lovely little project for someone to give it a nice home. Not many of this specification were built although HCB of TOTTON SOUTHAMPTON built a large number for the armed forces, West Sussex County Fire Brigade ordered three on this chassis but Rovers discontinued this chassis variation in 1972 making it redundant, delivering only the one to the brigade, these. Land Rovers are nice for enthusiasts as they are not to big, please please lets not see anybody strip it to a basic Land Rover and ruin it who may cut it about which seems to be happening more and more. come on someone give this little handsome Landy project a nice home they can be used in holiday parks for fire prevention as well as irrigation or fire prevention as well as family enjoyment for a day out at rallies don't let this little pump get wrecked and ruined. Brian if your reading these comments please be careful about disclosing the whereabouts not thought about taking it on yourself, rear crew cab well do you need little legs!Id love it, note the little winkworth bell on the upper nearside roof and you will get the spares still today for them lovely little pump.

I think I may have the sister vehicle to this one, again with a Nottingham plate. Is very unusual so I think might have been a special order for the two. I am very interested in any information or photos anyone has as will help me with my restoration.

Would anybody know what became of this vehicle - was it sold eventually - what became of it - can anyone comment.

I don't know what happened to this one but I am restoring an identical one at the moment originally stationed at Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.
