The body was made by Saxon yet Angloco call it their own?

Always makes me laugh that Angloco buy all these 2nd hand appliances yet they never buy any they have built back.

Was it not repaired By Angloco?

This appliance was seen heading south on the A1 just east of Edinburgh last week (13/10/10)and had been seen in Edinburgh city centre about 2 weeks before this.

I believe Saxon bought it as a demonstrator for their new ladder. Note the Angloco badged covers over the blue lights.

Ian do you mean you think it is a Angloco body?

Added by David Jones on 17 October 2010.
David, it is a Saxon built vehicle, reconditioned by Angloco, hence the Angloco badges, now used as a demonstrator.

Those would be good for a fire brigade TV drama that I'm writing Birmingham In flames. They could converted into a West Midlands Fire Service.

Birmingham in flames, I don't think it will go to well with the west Midlands fire service, are you a some kind off a tv director thinking to write about the tv show...?

Dave I know it's Saxon bodied, I was just trying to understand what Ian was saying.

Added by David Jones on 18 October 2010.
Yes, I agree with you Fozaib. It certainly won't go down well due to the current obvious reasons.

Quite simply, Angloco purchased the machine (Saxcon bodied) from Hanmpshire. It was purchased as a demonstrator (carrier) for a new ladder system which is by Rosenbauer and probably with Angloco acting as their UK agent. It therefore gained an Angloco badge on the front, and also the Angloco name on the covers that are over the blue lights.
