THERE ARE TWO APPLIANCES AT BROUGHTON FIRE STATION AND EACH ARE A VOLVO FL6 DRIVEN BY A 6 CYLINDER TURBO CHARGED EURO 2 DIESEL ENGINE WITH A PUSH BUTTON GEARBOX. THEY HAVE AN OVERALL LENGTH OF 7.6M, A HEIGHT OF 3.15M AND A WIDTH OF 2.4M.

Typical Manchester pump: clumsy-looking, boring and ugly! One day GMF&RS are gonna surprise the Fire World by rolling out an appliance that doesn't look like it was knocked together in a shed by an old man in brown overalls called Cyril!!!

And they're still speccing those stupid little halogen lightbars and only one scene light per side! At least the crew cabs on the new style Volvo's don't look like a red shed bolted onto the back of a lorry day cab like this!
